Throwback Caboodles

The trigger has been pulled and I cannot wait to get this throwback caboodles, lay out all my make-up on the carpet and organize it inside this radness. Ideally, it will arrive on a Friday night when I am home alone and my make-up organization process can take up to six peaceful hours, just like 1987.

It's their 25th anniversary "My First Love" edition. I couldn't be happier about these colors and the fact that they are not being shy that this is manufactured by Plano, the fishing tackle box company.

I used the Lish link through Facebook to purchase this guy. This is a whole lot of 80's glamour love for $25.

Caboodles was the first thing I ever won in my life. I was really young. It arrived from UPS and my Mom was fucking pissed and thought I bought it somehow. I forgot that I had entered a contest through Sassy or Seventeen magazine- This was Before the Internet. I must have mailed an actual piece of paper in somewhere. The Caboodle I won looked a lot like this one:

Can you imagine back to these days? There was no email to notify my young self that I had won anything, let alone a UPS website to notify me of tracking information for such a gem.

About a year ago, I was jogging in my dad's neighborhood and someone was having a yard sale. They didn't have anything I was remotely interested in except they were using a gorgeous vintage caboodles for their cash box and the bitches wouldn't sell it to me.

  1. My little sister had that very same purple and green Caboodle. I think I had a solid pink one that went to college with me.
