Me and Martha

I was on Martha Stewart January 2007. My segment was very strategically produced and it was easily the best overall experience of my life. My husband gave a best man's toast at a wedding and I'm paraphrasing, but he said...

"The Bride was with my wife on the best day of her life. Not our wedding day, but the day she appeared on Martha Stewart."

Divine

Martha is tall and beautiful with glittering blue eyes. She had the most wonderful champagne diamond studs in her ears that I have ever seen, and I can't wait until my husband buys me some like them.

Me & Martha

My segment producers "trained" me so well that I was prepared for any question she might ask and I could do my craft frontwards & backwards in my sleep.

I had an active online store at the time and as the show aired in different time-zones, my email would explode with a rash of new orders for my necklaces.
I loved being an entrepreneur for a little while and working from home making laundry-baskets-full of my necklaces, packaging them up in the afternoon and then taking them to the post office and basically assaulting the automated postage machine to make all the stamps for the orders.

This was my first time having a professional television make-up artist do my make-up and it ignited my love affair with MAC make-up. The artist was very sweet to explain everything she did, showing me the products, the brush she used, the color choices against my eyes/dress/necklace silk.

Fantastic experience!

I also had my hair done by someone from, and met Eva Scrivo. Eva was applying lip-gloss to Martha when I was brought onto the studio and the make-up artist was putting the finishing touches on me. Very T.V. fantasy - being brought face-to-face with Martha and we both had hands in our hair and brushes on our faces. (I loooved every second) So I met Eva at that moment, and one of her stylists did my hair, and I vowed that if we moved to New York City (my husband was near the end of the treturous residency match process at the time, and we lived in North Carolina) I would go to that salon. And we did move to New York City for his residency and I do go to her salon! I love my fancy New York City salon life. I'm very thankful for it!

I did it!!!
Ta-Dah!!! I did it!!!
